Delhi CM's experiment on solving traffic woes and 'Swacch-Bharat'ing the daylights out of Delhi air has purportedly been proven miraculously successful. Some reports claim that the odd - even drive has cleaned up the air by a whopping 300%.
Trying to suppress the skeptic in me asking all sorts of questions, I decided to look at the economic bonanza of the odd-even-drive (or drive-not depending on your numerological luck). Think of all the industries that it could foster.
First is one that brings visions James Bond and his number plate flipping vaahan. Of course you know what I mean. It would give brisk business to auto part dealers, and young engineers, perhaps unknowingly, will come up with the mechanics of the numberplate switch. Whats that? Yellow paint? Yeah that would be easier
More interesting will be the beauty business. Perhaps one can pass off as a female driver. Adorn a Dupatta and a Bindi (emulating some people who did just this to escape the law- albeit a different one) and one may whiz past the cheerfully challaning cops
Either way, I'm not complaining. My mahila might and the aurat advantage gets me 50% off on traffic. That I like :)
